Hello, I am Jesse Conte and this is Human Originals. I am a multidisciplinary artist working in paint, gouache, collage, ceramics, sculpture, tile, wood carving and plant life. My work speaks in a minimalist, tactile visual language of flowing symbols and artifacts born through analog processes and decades of professional design experience.

I move between folk and modern design aesthetics, approaching art making as a form of creative archaeology. Drawing from iconography, music, physical movement and the mysteries of early civilizations, my practice is an ongoing investigation into consciousness, lost technologies and the patterns that connect us, all in service of a bright future in balance with the natural world.

Working with earth, wood and color brought me back to the playful heart of my youth and reminded me why I came into this life. To honor the brightest light in the human spirit.

My work is held in private collections internationally, and my graphic design career has reached a global stage with projects for Burton Snowboards, Nike Jordan Brand, Quiksilver, K2, Nordica and Scott Sports. A lifelong love of surf and travel through coastal and urban environments continues to shape everything I make.
